With over 35,000 drawings, the collection of the Centre Pompidou Cabinet d’Art Graphique (Graphic Arts Department) is one of the largest in the world. For the first time, nearly 300 works by 120 artists including Dubuffet, Basquiat, Delaunay, Kentridge and many others will reveal an art of drawing that is endlessly being reinvented. The Centre Pompidou Cabinet d’Art Graphique collection is one of the world’s greatest sets of works on paper from the 20th and 21st centuries. This amazingly rich and diverse collection has never before been presented in a large-scale, exclusive exhibition. “Limitless drawings” is an opportunity to reveal these priceless treasures for the first time and understand how this artistic medium was entirely reinvented in the 20th century.
